Biography
Hou Meicun is currently an assistant professor at the Institute of Science and Technology for Deep Space Exploration at Nanjing University. She obtained her Bachelor's degree and Ph.D. in Astronomy from the School of Astronomy and Space Science of Nanjing University in 2016 and 2021. From 2021 to 2024, she moved to Kavli Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics at Peking University as a postdoctoral researcher. She has been awarded the KIAA Postdoctoral Fellowship, Fellowship of China National Postdoctoral Program for Innovation Talents, and has led a Grand funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China for Youth Researchers. She has published 17 papers and has been the principal investigator of multiple proposals involving world-class multi-wavelength facilities.

Research Interests
Her research interestes involve high energy astrophysics, galaxy astrophysics, and space instrumentation, including the dynamical evolution and physical properties of galaxies in the environment of galaxy clusters and groups, galaxy ecosystems, circum-galactic medium, active galactic nuclei, X-ray binaries, etc. The research are primarily relied on multi-band observations (X-rays, optical, infrared, millimeter, and radio band), and combined with theoretical numerical simulations.
